The Month of March is full of Blustery Potential
If there is one month that holds surprises, it is March. But we can weather the challenges of early spring with some hearty green food for our stomachs and hearty food for our minds. It’s time to crawl out of our winter caves and coats. Imagine spring life waking up in the soil under our feet. March offers duel themes at the Saturday Lodestar Farmers Market: Honor the Women Farmers month (March is Women’s History Month) & Celebrate the Soil month. We are inspired to create our own special dates and annual events. In free noontime presentations, meet women in your region who are passionate, successful growers. Learn practical tips on how to prepare your soil for a bountiful harvest this season from soil building experts. Eat homemade soup and bread while you listen to live music and shop–leather goods to rocket stoves; original art to tomato plant starts. Take a farm tour. Make an outing of it; we are open rain or shine.
