2017 Winter Market Preview – Feb. 25

This weekend at the Lodestar Gardens Winter Market, we have a noontime presentation and a workshop. At 12 noon, Nancy Barratt will be speaking about bulk food buying options. At 1 p.m., Jim Barratt will be conducting the third part of his “Stay Informed and Connected: Emergency Radio Workshop” series.

Nancy generously donates her time to coordinate a number of bulk food buying groups. She is also a student and practitioner of the nutrition principles advanced by the Weston A. Price foundation. Come by and listen to what she has to save to help save money and eat better through bulk food buying.

Late last year, Jim coached us on how to use our radios, program them and to research websites. Now he generously will help us use those radios which are our back up communication tools. Jim will cover a variety of topics, including CHIRP program, websites to include radio reference, repeater book, and AMRRON, basic antennas/accessories and grid down phone charging strategies. If you have your radio and/or laptop from last year’s session, please bring it.

Please call (928) 587-1660 or e-mail bhockabout@gmail.com for a map and directions if you haven’t made a visit to Lodestar.

Enjoy free space for vendors, free hot beverages, free farm tours, and delicious homemade lunch for just $2 (soup, salad and Clark’s ancient grain bread).
