LODESTAR GARDENS offers produce 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. every
Friday at Cafe Bocado 1450 E. White Mountain Blvd in Pinetop, AZ

This week we again feature the GREENS MEDLEY PACKAGES, chock full of

a variety of greens – a little bit of the best of everything in our greenhouses:
baby kale, collards, spinach, Swiss Chard, Bok Choy, Early Mizuna, beet greens and parsley.
Combined with our popular tri-blend lettuce–Plato Romaine, Slow Bolt, and
Summer Crisp varieties–these additional greens offer great taste & additional
nutrition.
We harvest from our greenhouses and outside gardens on market day.

This week we will also offer separate bunches of: kale (White Russian, Salad, Beedy Camden), Swiss Chard, and Bok Choy.
We patiently wait for out next crop of root vegetables to mature for market.

What’s Up in the Gardens?
In a month, we expect our varieties of basil will be ready for ingredients in our popular PESTO–“Dinner in a jar” we call it. This upcoming year we will continue to grow greens for salads and juicing. In response to multiple requests from naturopaths and customers, another goal for Lodestar this year is to grow those vegetable best suited for fermentation. Fermented foods have been found to be great aids to digestion and recalibrate toxins in our bodies.

Lodestar Gardens provides juicing materials for Cafe Bocado, including trays of wheat grass. We are happy to take your order. It requires 10 days to grow a mature wheat grass tray (1 lb of wg) in our greenhouse, so please give us that much time when you make your order: email bhockabout@gmail.com or call Barbara: (928)587-1660.
